About Life in Prenzlauer Berg

Prenzlauer Berg or ‘Prenzlberg’ is populated by many celebrities and wealthy Berliners. Although we are talking about possibly the most expensive district in Berlin, you get a lot for your money here. Prenzlauer Berg is an attractive place for families with kids, since this district is known for its parks (Mauerpark) and public playgrounds. The food markets at Kollwitzplatz are also worth mentioning and bring a lively feel to an area full of trendy cafes, beer gardens and shops.

Historically Prenzlauer Berg was the place with the cheapest apartments for all Berliners, as the majority of the houses were worn down and were occupied by Punks and Bohemians. Although times have changed, the artistic spirit in the atmosphere remains palpable.

Furnished rented apartments for extended stays are also generally easy to find here. When staying in Prenzlauer Berg you have everything in the direct vicinity: tourist attractions such as the Berlin Wall, Parks and cultural centres including the KulturBrauerei.

Overall, Prenzlauer Berg is one of the nicest parts of Berlin at the moment. For a somewhat higher price you can live here in a neighbourhood that is perfectly suited for all leisure activities.

Furnished apartments for rent are typically easily found, even for long term stays. When staying in Prenzlberg, everything is at hand: tourist attractions such as the Berlin Wall memorial, parks and cultural centers including the KulturBrauerei.

Overall, Prenzlauer Berg is currently one of the most beautiful areas of Berlin, ideal for leisure activities, although for a price.
